New sustainability tools

If you're devising strategies to improve the sustainability of your water system, the EPA has two new documents worth checking out: National Capacity Development Strategic Plan and Analysis on the Use of Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Set-Asides: Promoting Capacity Development.

The strategic plan document outlines how EPA and its partners will promote communication and outreach to help water systems have the capacity to demonstrate long-term sustainability.

The revolving fund document provides information on how states have used their funds and explains how the DWSRF can support capacity development programs and EPA's sustainable infrastructure initiative.

Here's No. 22 in our Asset Management Series: “Concrete, Steel…and Decisions!” proposes an alternative definition of Asset Management and shows how the decisions we make everyday drive the value we provide to our customers. It'll also be posted to the Asset Management Series page, which you can get to from the links on the left. Enjoy.
